The SB-X series compact speaker system realizes linear-phase design in a bookshelf format. In order to realize linear phase theory in a bookshelf type, the SB-X series employs a conical horn, which moves the tweeter back from the baffle surface. The low frequency range of the tweeter is smoothly enhanced by this conical horn, and low-frequency distortion is also reduced by suppressing k-roe in the network, resulting in low distortion of the system. The low frequency range is provided by a 10cm cone woofer. A 1.3cm dome tweeter is installed in the high frequency range. The diaphragm uses a 15? ultra-thin titanium diaphragm to achieve high frequency characteristics and a wide bandwidth. The ultra-thin diaphragm also gives the metal dome a soft-dome-like quality, which reduces the occurrence of peaks and provides a good reproduction sound with a good rise time. The voice coil is made of an aluminum bobbin that is heat resistant and conducts heat well. Polyamide, which has excellent heat resistance, is used for the voice coil adhesive layer of each unit, and polyester is used for the insulation layer. This provides a heat resistance temperature of 180°C to 200°C and a high input resistance design. These speakers are in good physical condition with no major damage to the wood and only one tear on the lower grill. They were both working great and suddenly one stopped working one day. I tested the tweeter and woofer without the crossover and both of them still work fine so Im assuming something is wrong in the crossover.
