RECEIVER DESCRIPTION: The Technics SA-EX300 is a high power and extraordinary FM sensitivity in an advanced circuitry AM/FM stereo receiver. This SA-EX300 has plenty of power, with a peak power output of 100 watts and a continuous power output of 50 watts per channel min RMS at 8 ohms, from 10 Hertz to 40,000 Hertz – The Surround output: 2 x 40 watts for front 2 speakers, 40 watts for the center channel speaker, and 40 watts for the rear speakers. But clean power is only one important attribute of this new receiver - you also get an FM front end that performs with outstanding stability and sensitivity, thanks to the use of a pair of dual gate MOS FETs in its RF amplifier, an advanced FM IF section that includes three 2-element ceramic filters and a large scale integrated circuit, plus FM stereo broadcasts that uses the innovative and advanced phase-locked loop IC for excellent separation characteristics. The result is a flawless kind of sound that is unmatched in tonal quality by any comparably-priced receiver now on the market, plus the radiant good looks of Technics design and human engineering. The SA-EX300 by Technics: Something extra everywhere! THE POWER AMPLIFIER SECTION: A major feature of the power amplifier section is the servo operational amplifier system. The Technics SA-EX300 Amp section is a low distortion, moderate power, stereo integrated amplifier with wide dynamic range. Combining advanced circuits with a new design concept provides no-nonsense musical performance at a pleasing price. Precision CR tone circuit, a high performance amplifier for wide dynamic range, and simple to use basic features make the popularly priced SA-EX300 even more appealing as a worthwhile investment in yesteryears advanced Hi-Fi electronics. This distinctive package of plenty includes up-to-the-minute circuitry throughout its handsome construction, and then gives plenty of power to boot: peak power output of 100 watts and a continuous power output of 50 watts per channel min RMS at 8 ohms, from 10Hz to 40 kHz with no more than 0.5% total harmonic distortion – In “Dolby Pro Logic Surround” you get 2 x 40 watts for front 2 speakers, 40 watts for the center channel speaker, and 40 watts for the rear speakers. THE TUNER SECTION: The major feature of the FM tuner section of the Technics SA-EX300 is the 30 channel random preset system which detects ant difference in frequency between IF signal and the reference signal generated by the crystal oscillator. The FM Decoder uses the design principle of the phase lock loop applied in the circuit. It has no inductances or capacitances which cause phase shifts and distortions. Any phase dislocation that might occur is automatically detected and compensated by a loop circuit. This results in an unprecedented high degree of stability irrespective of temperature or humidity changes. Also, the Technics SA-EX300 Tuner section amplifier 2-stage front end incorporates a 5-gang variable capacitor and three dual gate MOS FETS. A capacitance controlled double tuned circuit is inserted between the RF amplifier stages. Those features produce impressive characteristics such as stereo sensitivity of 30 dB, a capture ratio of 1 dB, a FM range of 87.9-107.9 MHz, and a total harmonic distortion of 0.5%.
