Here is a Technics RS-1500 2-Track reel-to-reel player. It will be suppled with one empty spool and two tapes which have been recorded on. Condition report: This unit is in very good cosmetic condition, with almost no marks at all. But its perhaps not quite immaculate. Id describe it as excellent. In use: I am not a reel-to-reel expert, so please read this carefully. I have powered this unit and all lights (VU meters etc) light up correctly. The unit will play, rewind and fast forward strongly. When rewinding the right hand spindle makes quite a noise when at full speed, like a vibration. When playing I could not initially get any sound from it.. but flicking the Playback head selector switch from 4t to 2t produced sound but the switch itself could definitely do with cleaning with switch cleaner. Sound was produced from both channels, but on one of the tapes this reverted to just one channel, but I think its the tape rather than the player, as when rewound to the earlier section, its stereo again. I have not tried to record anything. Summary: This unit powers and appears to be playing. From what I have tested, it seems to work, but would almost certainly benefit from a good service. Its for this reason that I am selling it as For parts or not working. As such, I cannot offer any warranty on this, and cannot accept returns. This is an extremely heavy unit (over 25kg unboxed). It will be very substantially boxed, but is a UK only sale. Collection obviously preferred. The small print...The photographs show the actual item being sold.
