Teac X7R MK2 Open Reel to Reel tape recorder Very rare machine now. Selling due to upgrading to the X10R. ¼” tape transport with reverse record/playback. Recently fitted new OEM capstan drive belt. Reel motors stripped and commutators cleaned. All spindles and pivots cleaned and re-lubricated. Capstan pinch roller mechanism cleaned and re-lubricated. All switches and potentiometers sprayed with Deoxit cleaner. Machine in very good order both cosmetically and mechanically – no known faults and please see pictures. Will need to be collected owing to weight and fragility. Comes with1 full reel in storage case and 1 receiver reel, both marked ‘Maxell’ assume tape is Maxell also – appears OK was used as my test tape. Also have its original feet. On May-29-23 at 13:34:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Please bid accordingly the motor itself is defective. The tight belt may have caused the coils in the motor to burn out. (Band aid smell)
