All functions (including playback/recording) work great and playback (especially on cassette) sounds fantastic. For recording: Music CD-R discs are recommended as Data CD-R discs do not seem to be compatible. Cosmetically in fantastic shape with on minor, minor, markings present. Unit also comes with original owners manual, cables, and remote (unopened and in factory seal). The original box is in very nice shape as well. Unit will be double boxed for safe travel. Was retailed 850-1000 USD in its heydays, which equals to a currently inflated 2450 USD today! Same direct drive, rock-stable mechanism like in the Z-5000, similar auto-calibration like the Z-7000. It can auto-cal and store three types of tape as well as a 4th. The unit has three processors in it as well, and remember all is built in 1982! Sound wise equals to the Z-5000, the Z-6000 and Z-7000 are literally better. Condition: Optical condition: Slightly used but can be a nice piece for a collector. Minimal trace of use, unit has very low hours of operation. No dents, scratches, trace of repairs, bad smell or something... It comes from a smoke free and pet free house. Scratch-free and bright display, nothing is faded out. Technical condition: Technically the unit is fully operable, all functions are tested and working (see video).
