Offered is a refurbished vintage Teac A-510 MKII cassette deck now generally in excellent operating condition. This model is a single motor, two head deck. It should be noted that there are no XLR inputs, only RCA jacks. This model also uses LEDs rather than analog meters for displaying the VU levels (including peak levels). Cosmetically it is in very nice shape with just a bit of wear along the edges of the top cover; especially at the right back corner. The front face is in excellent shape with just a few signs of wear. There are some very minor dings along the top edge and a slight scratch as well. The lettering is in excellent shape although, in some photos, it may seem a bit washed out due to glare from the camera flash. As received it powered up fine but did not run. At issue was the capstan flywheel belt which, as is often the case, had deteriorated. This deck has been serviced and is now back in working order. Service work performed: 1. Three new belts (including the capstan belt). The one rubber tire (for fast forward and rewind) was still in fine shape. 2. Basic cleaning and lubrication (includes pulley shafts, reel pins and capstan bushing). Some slight adjustments to a few mechanical components for alignment purposes. 3. Aligned the head for azimuth and adjusted capstan motor speed. Only slight adjustments were needed.4. Replaced pinch roller.5. Tested and, if needed, adjusted meter, record, playback and bias levels. Oddly, this model did not actually include trim pots for making record level adjustments (but a pair was added to the circuit in order to enable this necessary adjustment). 6. Tested for Dolby operation.7. Pots treated with DeOxit8. Microphone inputs tested This item comes with a 30 day return; buyer pays return shipping. Thanks for looking.

You are looking at a lot of 2 pieces of vintage literature advertising the American Concertone 505 and 510 Reel To Reel Stereo Tape Recorders.  These original product brochures are very hard to find and are sought after by collectors.  One piece features the 505 while the other features the 510.  TEAC bought the company and put out the 505 under the TEAC name but it looks essentialy the same.  These original brochures have features, specs and other data as well as nice product images. They measure 8.5 x 11.  Both pieces are in excellent condition, with a few signs of light handling.  Please look carefully at the item photos, as they are part of the item description and may perhaps provide additional details useful to your purchase decision.
