Briefly, features of the deck are:Play in both forward and reverse directions - no need to swap the reels from left to right when switching from side 1 to side 2.Auto-reverse feature - relies on using a foil strip at the end of the tape to trigger a sensor when the end of a side is reached.Hard ferrite heads for long-life and resistance to tape wear.RCA phono and DIN inputs/ouputs.Tape speeds of 7.5 and 3.75 inches per second Cosmetically, the item is in excellent condition for its age. The dust cover has a minor crack at one bottom edge (see photos), but this isnt really visible from the front of the unit. There are a few nicks in the veneer at the top-back edge of the unit, but these are hardly noticeable. Functionally, the item is fully working. All buttons and lights work as they should. Play, record, fast forward and rewind work fine. The only issue is that when the play button is pressed, sometimes the pinch roller doesnt move on its own against the capstan - it needs a little nudge to get there. I have added a short clip of the deck in action, recording a snippet of music and then playing it back to demonstrate the unit working. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
