The input terminals are USB, coaxial, optical, and RCA, and the output terminals are a 6.3mm headphone jack and a banana plug-compatible speaker terminal. The DAC chip is a Burr-Brown PCM5102, which enables playback of high-resolution PCM sound sources up to 192kHz/24bit via USB input. We have confirmed playback of high-resolution sound sources by installing the dedicated driver on a Windows 10 PC at hand. The sound quality is extremely flat and characterized by clear and high resolution. There is little coloration, and it seems to draw out the potential of speakers, headphones, and earphones as it is. It may not be as good as the TEAC UD-501 DAC or HA-501 headphone amp in the same series, but it is the best in terms of overall performance. Not only the sound but also the appearance is excellent, with black and subdued, low gloss gray as the base color, the grips on both sides, and the VU meter that glows faintly in orange, it is both rugged and stylish.
