For sale is a very rare model of the Tandberg TCD 440a tape deck . It is the second highest model after the TCD 3014. Apparently there is no difference in sound. This unit has been serviced by a specialist (former Tandberg service) in the UK. All capacitors have been replaced with components intended for top-class audio equipment (Nichicon FG, Elna Silmic II). Additionally, it has recently undergone recording adjustments and maintenance at a trusted and proven audio service in Warsaw. The tape recorder is in beautiful visual condition and has slight traces of use. The front panel is pristine. I am including original feet for free with the tape recorder. This is one of the best sounding and recording tape recorders I have in my collection (I had many top models). This model cost $1,600 in 1978, which in the inflation calculator is approximately $7,500 this year. Built quality is of the highest standards.
