Unit shows some wear and scratches, but overall is in very good condition. Cosmetically, this item is in very good condition. (SEE PICTURES). The knobs are both present, with all of the illumination working, and the knobs, switches, and buttons all function as theyre supposed to. During testing Deck A worked perfectly, but as we were testing Deck B started to work but then there was a clicking and grinding noise. after that noise it would start Fast Forwarding and not stop. After powering down and back on the Deck B would reset to normal and let you eject the cassette. For this reason we are selling this unit AS-IS/Parts Repair. As we do not repair electronics, nor have we attempted any repairs. Listing is for a Sony TC-WE835S Dual Cassette Player / Recorder. For parts or repair ONLY Cosmetically clean but left tape bay door will not close after opening for testing. Unit powers on but makes a grinding noise for a few seconds when first powered on. Neither transport seems to function at all. Switches engage when pressed but nothing happens. This was a great machine but appears not to have liked being in storage for several years (climate controlled). I’m not aware of anything that happened to it but guess it just didn’t like sitting for so long. Both Drive doors were latched in storage but the left one will know longer close after being opened for testing. Listing “as is” for parts - or repair if someone has the interest and ability to do so. Remote will be included. Unable to verify functionality of it with the deck either Proud to use UPS and USPS as preferred shipping methods.

Sony TC-WE835S Double Cassette Deck Player - PARTS/REPAIR - AS-IS - EB-11982 Deck will power on but wont do much else, the right door seems to have a broken latch and wont stay close. All buttons still seem to input properly but I would imagine the belts are loose or broken. Unit has very little cosmetic wear and outside of a couple scratches and scuffs the deck is in great condition. As this item is being sold AS-IS, this item should be considered to have defects, and we have done our best to disclose them. This was originally bought for a relative in 2012 who did not use it so it has been sat around unused for a few years. I recently replaced the belts as they had perished.
