Tascam 122mkIII 3-Head Cassette Deck OPEN BOX - READ!! READ!! This item is a literal barn find, and was included in a large collection of higher-end audio, computer and other electronics. Many sealed and other like-new, open box items.  Some boxes were stained and had strong animal odor.  The box for this item was destroyed by what appeared (and smelled) like animal urine, which leaked in through the open seal on top of the box and landed on the manual, manual bag and other paperwork inside the box. The paper appears to have absorbed all the liquid and caused some paint discoloration and/or etching/rusting from sitting on the metal case venting on the top, back (see pics). It does not appear any liquid actually made it to the electronics, but can't be certain. It has been airing out for several days and still has some odor after it has been running for awhile.    Item appears as new with power cord still sealed from factory (I opened to test).  Item powers up and operated well during limited testing. FF/RW and Play tested, as well as pitch control and Dolby NR and all seemed to work well. Did not test other features (not sure how...).  Limited testing, but appears in working order and in excellent condition (except as note above). Again, item has distinct animal odor and deodorization was not attempted.  Please ask any questions BEFORE purchasing/bidding please. This item is sold AS IS! Will ship insured and with care!
