Up for sale is a pair of floor standing Speakers by Tannoy, Model Revolution R2.The serial number 012731 and 102732. All drivers are in working order.The cabinets do show signs of use with scuff marks, nicks, ding, scratches.Both grills also show signs of use with some light snags, small holes here and there. They were on sale at a reduced price of £249.99, as ex-display/returns and are not of consecutive (but close!) serial numbers, hence the veneers are not matching - if they were ever meant to at this price point(?!) - like others i’ve seen listed on eBay, over the years i’ve been looking. They are in pretty much the same condition i purchased them and come complete with all original packaging, paperwork and accessories - although i appear to be missing one of the bass port foam bungs...?! They’ve been driven carefully at all times, from low-to-reasonable volumes, using Audiolab 8000 amplifiers. I have mass-loaded them with kiln dried sand, to improve their bass performance and increase standing stability. They can be supplied with 4 generous lengths of QED Silver Anniversary speaker cables for bi-wiring, to get the best out of these very musical and enjoyable loudspeakers. Tannoy Revolution r2 floor-standing speakers, in good condition and working order. Cosmetically they’re a little rough around the edges, with a few significant scratches to the veneers (see photos) and worn-through patches on the grilles, but acoustically they’re in good working order. Each speaker measures 92cm tall, 17cm wide and 25.5cm deep. Come with carpet spikes and a complete set of bi-wire speaker terminal jumpers. Collection from 3 miles south west of Bath.
