With both filters activted together more resistence is needed in the circuit and that is what the third switch is for. I talor made these for my hearing preference. If you like to listen loud most of the time you will love these crossovers with both filters active! The sometimes nervy midrange is soft and not in the least nervy. If you like it loud the sound is pretty damned near perfect. Very soft detailed and clear sound on a black background that can give you goose bumps. It was assumed driver number 164450 was reconed at some point but have learned this not the case. The white outer ring, used for mounting purposes, is the only thing that differentiates 164450 and this ring looks to similar to the one used on Tannoy Black. The diaphragms are original and used in Silver and Red LSU/HF/15L dual concentric speakers. The Tannoy Lancaster cabinet serial numbers match the speaker driver serial numbers stamped on the side.
