Tannoy GRF 15 inch Monitor Red corner speakers, super rare near-matching pairSuper rare speakers, fully working, sound superb!** all our items are now available for viewing and collection by appointment from our new showroom in Brighton **Both cabinets have their original monitor red drive units and cross-overs.One drive unit is a slightly earlier red dust-cap version, one is a slightly later black dust-cap version.The red dust-cap driver has its original cloth fabric (similar to that used on the earlier silvers). This driver has clearly never been removed from the cabinet, and the bolts appear to be paint-sealed. Therefore we have left this in place and not removed it – we believe buyers will prefer everything left as original as possible. So only the black dust-cap driver has been removed for photos.Both speakers are 100% original Tannoy manufactured GRF units. The two cabinets are similar but not 100% matching as the wood veneers differ. Also the later cabinet is very slightly higher, by about 1cm. When standing separately for stereo use the cabinets seem to be a good pair.Serial Numbers:Red dust-cap speaker: S/N 034215 (paper label, should correspond to the driver), cabinet stamped ­1696Black dust-cap speaker: S/N 050684 (paper label and stamp to driver chassis), cabinet stamped 50684Condition & Details: Fabric: Generally good condition. A small tear and some light discolouration to 050684. This could possibly be repaired/cleaned, but we will leave this to the buyer to decide. Wood: Overall very good condition with general minor marks in keeping with age. Some small areas of flaking veneer around the edges and base. Cabinet 050684 has some signs of old woodworm, but not structural, only to the base and not generally visible. This is old and not active. Drivers: 034215: driver appears excellent and never removed from the cabinet. 050684: some small dents to the red magnet cover, but only minor and not normally noticeable. Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. All of our electrical items are PAT tested. If the item has failed its PAT test, the item will be listed as spares and repairs and failure reasons will be noted. What Is a FACTORY RESET and Has One Been Done On This Item? A factory reset, also known as master reset, is a software restore of an electronic device to its original system state by erasing all of the information stored on the device in an attempt to restore the device to its original manufacturer settings. If an item has had a factory reset in our store, this will be detailed in the listing condition. To What Extent Has This Item Been Tested? As all our items are donated to us, we do not always have the facilities or resources to fully test our items. Please see our definitions of the types of tests we do below, the extent of testing will be provided in our listing conditions: 1.Power Test Only - The item has been plugged in and the power button has been pressed and the light shines to show the item turns on. No further tests have been done. Due to the fact this item is only power tested we are unsure if any other parts of the item function as they should. Please be aware the item could be faulty, we ask that you please bid accordingly. 2.Briefly tested - The item has been plugged in and powers on, basic tests have been carried out on the items main functions to ensure the item operates on a basic level. Certain aspects may have not been tested due to resources available. 3.Untested - The item has not been turned on and tested. Are the Cables and Accessories Included? All our items are donated to us and are therefore second hand in most cases. With this in mind, we always recommend having the item serviced prior to use as we do not have the facilities to do this in store. Any faults are described in the listing condition and we also aim to take pictures of our items from various angles, so that our customers can inspect the cosmetic condition.? What Does No OS / Operating System Mean? The OS is the Operating System, also known as Windows or IOS. Once our items are listed on eBay they are placed in storage to keep them safe until auction end. This means that we are unable to take extra images if requested. If you buy multiple items from us and your items are located at our central Leeds warehouse, we will combine your orders. Combining your orders will usually result in you receiving your items in fewer parcels and receiving a reduced postage cost at checkout. If you buy more than 1 item your postage will be calculated by discounting additional item postage costs by 80% for UK and 30% for overseas, the highest postage cost will always be your base cost. The maximum we will charge for a UK combined order is £10. Please note that some items are now being sent directly from our shops across the UK, as well as our central eBay hub in Leeds. These items cannot be combined for postage with your other items as they are being sent from a separate location. Any items eligible for combined postage will be combined automatically on the evening the auction ends and youll see this information at checkout. Please note that once items are combined, we are not able to separate items out from the order. If you do request this, the whole order will be cancelled.
