Tannoy Stirling Prestige Series Loudspeakers. Lovely sounding 10 inch Dual Concentric pepper pot type Drive Units. These are the same drive units that were used extensively in the well thought of SRM10b range (i.e. widely used studio monitors). Rubber surrounds (which don’t rot or deteriorate like the ‘Tannoplas’ ones found in earlier hpd models and some other Tannoy drive units). In excellent condition and full working order. A few light marks / scratches here and there on the walnut veneer but overall superb for the age. The cabinets are beautifully crafted pieces of furniture which would grace any room. Comes with original brass locking key, brochure and unopened Tannoy Wax. (I’ve always used wood oil on them) Previous owner has upgraded the crossovers (courtesy of renowned Tannoy specialist ‘Mainly Tannoy)’. The treble adjustment controls have been bypassed for the ultimate signal path. Bass output of the cabinets can be variably adjusted via the 4 port slats to suit your particular room / acoustics.
