TANNOY 15 GOLD Monitor 8 Ohm in excellent sonic condition!! Original Cones. Technically in excellent condition! Optical very good condition for age. Sonically excellent! READ THE TEXT BEFORE BUYING!!! These were always my favourites. I bought them separately so there are some minor cosmetic differences because they were manufactuered at different times. The cones (both still original in great shape) have a slightly different colour and the aluminium chassis also have small differences as can be seen on the pictures. Also Serial numbers not in the same place. People who have experience with Golds know these things. None of the differences affect the sound. In fact these two speakers are sonically nothing short of excellent! Exactly matched output and both perform flawlessly. The newer crossovers are far better than the original gold crossovers by quite a bit! Very smooth midrange and well balanced sound. The output of the horn (energy) can be changed by changing the positions of the small plugs on the circuit board. See Photo! I removed the dust caps a long time ago because I think they sound just a bit clearer without them. I can glue them back in before sending if needed. I also painted over the labels on the back of the magnets with varnish to preserve them longer. If you have any questions feel free to ask. These will be extremely well packed! Die Membrane (beide noch original in toller Form) sind auch leicht unterschiedlich von der Farbe her. Fotos! Auch Seriennummern sind nicht an der gleichen Stelle. Leute die Erfahrung mit Golds haben kennen diese Dinge. Keiner der Unterschiede wirkt sich auf den Klang aus. Tatsächlich sind diese beiden Lautsprecher klanglich ausgezeichnet! Die Leistung ist bei beiden genau gleich und beide funktionieren einwandfrei. Die neueren Frequenzweichen sind um einiges besser als die ursprünglichen Gold-Frequenzweichen! Sehr weicher Mitteltonbereich und gut ausbalanciert Klang. Die Leistung der Hochtoner (Energie) kann durch Verändern der Positionen der kleinen Stecker auf der Platine verändert werden. Ich habe die Staubschutzkappen vor langer Zeit entfernt, weil ich denke, dass sie ohne etwas klarer klingen. Ich kann sie wieder einkleben bei Bedarf vor dem Absenden. Pair of Tannoy Little Gold Monitor Speakers acquired from the original owner. These speakers were part of a Real home studio. Unfortunately, they were closing their doors for good since there is not much business in the music world these days. Both speakers are all original in all respects. Worth mentioning is that this pair of speakers have consecutive serial #s. Sound quality is outstanding from these professional studio monitors. The small gold thumb screws on the front of each speaker can be moved to five different positions to effect frequency response. I tested these speakers at the studio where acquired using a a vintage tube Telefunken sound system with sound board and again with a vintage Pioneer SX-1980 they kept around as a conversation piece. As previously stated, to my ears the speakers sound outstanding, and I enjoyed changing the frequency response screws. Speakers/drivers, cones, surrounds, etc, are in great condition and feel extremely sturdy. Cosmetically, there are some small pulls on the cloth grills, small marks in the cabinet finish here and there, and one of the speakers has some wood veneer separation on the bottom edge of one corner of the cabinet (please see auction picture #11). Nothing objectionable as far as flaws considering age and use. They are living room worthy and look good with a rich wood finish. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get. Rare Tannoy LSU/HF/3LZG/8 Vintage Audiophile Speakers ? LZ Monitor Gold A stunning pair of these vintage gems. They are in full working order and sound beautiful. I would be keeping them but for the fact I need more space and less equipment! They were rescued from a house clearance (before it began, thankfully) at a prestigious property in Knightsbridge, and belonged to a true audiophile who kept an immaculate record collection. Fully tested using a Naim Amp and Linn LP12. They work perfectly, but the switches at the back would ultimately benefit from a clean. It isnt necessary now, as it doesnt affect performance once the position has been fully selected, but when actually moving the selector switches there can be some crackles. Condition: These look near-perfect and are the best Ive seen. Excellent, near-immaculate condition for their age. Original unmolested speakers, crossovers and cabinets. Some very small age-related marks, and a few tiny flecks of paint (on the bottom of one cabinet of one speaker - only noticeable on close inspection) that could be easily removed. However I have decided not to in case the new owner prefers to address that, or even deems it necessary. I have given the speakers a very light clean to remove dust, but they will look even better with a more detailed spruce up. Please note the little white lines on the gold part of the drivers is just dust, not scratches. Tannoy Little Red Monitors In Excellent Cosmetic condition. A beautiful pair of LRM’s The covers are original with original badges , all the rest of the components are original with no tampering. There are a few very small, (extremely minor in my opinion) scratches and slight fades in the veneer. Please take a look at the photos to decide for yourself the condition. No studio mounting holes, wax fills in the veneer, bad glue job on the cones etc Sonically, These speakers sound as they should. They were recapped a few years ago and have been serviced and made to perform within the manufacturer’s specification. They come from a non smoking home and have been handled and used with care and respect.
