This unit is in beautiful condition and I purchased this from the original owner who was 97 years old. He tested everything for me before I left since I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to high end stereo systems like this. Up for sale is a Hitachi HCA-8500MKII preamplifier. It is a multi voltage unit with a European style plug. Tested with music and functions all work. The volume and balance controls were very dirty but I cleaned them with a little bit of deoxit and now both are working okay. I also tested the phono preamp and it initially worked but the sound cuts off after a few seconds. Sold as-is for parts or repair.
