At some stage someone has glued the collar to the flange, probably in the 90s when such things were done to add to the rigidity of the arm!! Lunacy. The arm may fit your turntable as is, or a flange may need to be added. We did try to separate the collar and flange but it looks like epoxy was used. The arm is being auction and sold as is. A Pink Triangle Export record player in black. In very fine condition and good working order. This is a well maintained example and has been serviced in the past. It comes with a new unused drive belt. It has a pink lid also in very fine condition with no marks, only very light polishing marks. It has no cracks or chips to the edges. All the glue joints are intact. I do not know if it is an original Pink Triangle lid or an after market model but it works fine and fits the lid hinges properly. The lid hinges hold the lid up properly and are good and strong. This is the export model and does not have an external power supply. It has an internal power supply board and you simply turn the front switch clock wise to engage both 33 and 45 speeds and the built in LED changes colour as you change speed. Both LEDs are working. The plinth is in black ash and is very fine with no scratches or chips to the wood. The top plate is gloss black and has a mirror like finish, again there are no major marks or scratches just light polishing swirls. The platter is very fine with no scratches, chips or dents to the soft acrylic material. The main bearing is fine with virtually no play, rare on one of these from the 90s as it is a good age now. I suspect it got little use in the past. The motor is fine and quiet with no noise and plays both speeds spot on. It has a Roksan Tabriz tone arm with intelligent counter weight which moves on a fine bearing pivot. The arm is also in very fine condition and is working very well with no scratches or marks. Both horizontal and vertical bearings are smooth. The arm lift/lower device works correctly. It comes with the cream coloured arm cable with the Roksan RCA plugs. The cartridge is a Goldring Elite low output moving coil type and will not work in to a moving magnet input, you will need a dedicated moving coil input on your amplifier or phono stage or a step up transformer between your cartridge and moving magnet phono stage. The stylus under a magnifying glass is very good and appears to be hardly used so you should enjoy many months of life left in the cartridge.The suspension is working fine and can be adjusted with a suitable hex key via the three hex bolts on the side and top of the plinth. All three springs are moving freely. It comes with some receipts as shown in the photos and the manual with alignment template for the Tabriz arm. It comes with a new belt in its packing with a pink ribbon to help loop the belt round the motor pully. All in a very fine old record player and some parts for this are still available i.e. arm boards, belts so easy to service and replace arms in the future. If you look after it it will last another 25 years. Roksan Turntable in Rosewood with off board Power Supply and Tabriz Intelligent counterweight Tonearm. Note: Cartridge not included in this sale. This is a really lovely turntable in very good condition. I have used it for a couple of years now and it has functioned perfectly. The Tabriz tonearm with the ‘hanging’ intelligent counterweight was a brand new expensive upgrade and a very worthwhile one too. It has the Isolda arm cable as well. The turntable had no Roksan lid when I bought it (I am second owner) but I have included an Audio Technica one which sits on top nicely and protects from dust. 33.3 and 45 rpm at the press of a switch. The Rosewood is a beautiful finish in my opinion. Very stable speed and natural tone with nice silent background and very dynamic. Buyer can collect and inspect if paying cash, or I can box at buyers expense but please ask for a quote before bidding. It will be a large box and I will only send fully insured. Roksan Tabriz Standard Tonearm Counterweight. Hi. About 4 years ago I purchased a brand new roksan tabriz tonearm which came with this standard counterweight, but I already owned the (upgrade) intelligent Counterweight, so when the arm arrived I started using the intelligent Counterweight on the arm from the get go, so this is effectively a brand new standard Counterweight that was never used and has been in storage ever since. Roksan Xerxes Tabriz Zi arm Ortofon Quasar Cartridge. Outstanding condition. Bought new from Moorgate Acoustics in Rotherham, so I’m the only owner, this sought after turntable is in fabulous condition. I never removed the plastic protective film off the dust cover lid!!! With all the packing as supplied, it has had very light use as I went mainly CD shortly after purchase I added additional weight to the Tabriz Zi intelligent counter weight with layers of black tape, so to be invisible, due to the weight of the Ortofon quasar moving coil cartridge. The emblem has become detached, but could easily to reattached with glue. The Zi spec also included an upgraded interconnect. This would benefit from a spacer from Roksan as the height of the cartridge is high and occasionally pops out. The black ash finish to the turntable is stunning. The power supply module/ speed changer has a couple of marks, but I’m told Indian ink dabbed where required is amazing Sold as a complete unit. I would suggest once transported, for optimum performance, as suggested by Roksan dealers, a set up service UK bidders only and collection in person

Original Roksan Xerxes turntable with XPS3.5, DS-U PSUs. Tabriz arm & Corus Black cartridge. I will consider splitting the combination (arm / cartridge / deck); please contact me if this interests you. Please read the entire description below. An original Roksan Xerxes turntable with Tabriz arm and Corus Black MM cartridge all working nicely with the later XPS3.5 and DS-U power supplies, with the five-to-four pin adaptor so they can be used together. The stand in the pictures is NOT included in this listing but is available seperately. The turntable combination can be demonstrated working on collection (or before you BIN, by arrangement). Bring a record, I only have one decent one now! The turntable is around thirty-plus years old but is still working superbly. The addition of the later power supplies is welcome as both the original mkI and mkII PSUs used to get red-hot and frequently expire because of that. The 3.5 and its partnering DS-U run beautifully cool. All original Xerxes turntables suffer from plinth sag, this one is no different, however this has been completely corrected by the addition of a length of U-section steel fitted under the top plinth with a layer of insulating material between. This has only been screwed in and can be removed if you so wish. It doesnt scrape or get in the way under the plinth. The Tabriz arm is fully working with no snags in the bearings; both flow smoothly. A long Van Damme silver plated OFC arm cable is included. It is completely hum-free and not at all microphonic. The Roksan Corus Black (Gyger II stylus profile) is in great condition with minimal wear apparent. It tracks well which can be demonstrated with a very dynamic record. The lid is in very good condition with no cracks, splits or chips. One or two slight scratches of course. A new belt has been fitted (the one it came with was not an original, or indeed a suitable replacement, so it needed to be replaced). I tried several belts before being happy with the one it now has. I do object to paying £75 for a genuine belt when there are good alternatives at a more cost effective price. The motor is working well (please take great care when working with the Xerxes as the motor wires are by design very thin and fragile). A small quantity of suitable oil will also be supplied for future needs. Both main and motor bearings (including the tiny ball bearings at the bottom of each) are in good condition and operate well. This is a delicate turntable and needs some degree of technical knowhow to set up. I have set up the turntable, arm and cartridge myself having been trained by Roksan to work on their products back in the early 1990s. The original transit bolts will be fitted to maintain the setup while you transport it home. As this is a collection only item, cash on collection only please.
