Fully restored by me, the vintage Sony TA-1055 All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with brand new audio grade capacitors Smaller value capacitors have been replaced with film capacitors New transistors including the drivers and the output transistors Output transistors have new thermal pads New fuse holders New rectifier diodes (higher current to accommodate the larger output capacitors) New speaker jacks that take either bare wire or banana plugsControls and switches are cleaned Cosmetic issues with the wood cabinet, check the pictures The power switch has been replaced with a 3d printed cap The sound is clean and and free of any distortion or hum Perfect amplifier for a turntable and speakers Shipping to lower 48 states only

A considerable number of transistors and capacitors were replaced at the time of repair, but some of the remaining electrolytic capacitors that had not been replaced were all replaced for this sale. The photo shows the replaced capacitors. Transistors were already difficult to obtain 10 years ago, so second source or alternative transistors were used. In addition, input terminals were replaced, pilot lamps were converted to LED, etc. Tested and aged for several hours with no problems. Here is a Sony TA-1055 integrated stereo amplifier. Its circa the 1973/4 era. Works but has very low volume on left channel. Cabinet shows it age with wear marks here and there.
