When the switch is turned on, the turntable starts spinning. The arm is moved to the top of the record and the down switch is used to drop the needle. There is no auto-return when the player finishes playing. It is all manual. ?Turntable & Body The turntable is in good condition with few rusts. There are some marks on the left and right side of the main body which are the remains of the dust cover [Photos 3 and 4]. Here is an amazing and beautiful Vintage Pioneer SX-1250 SX1250 Silver Face Stereo Receiver Amp Project. Nice working and original condition but it could use a few things to be better. It is missing the rear antenna which was clipped off. Wood could use some refin or cosmetic attention. Unit has been in daily operation recently and I tested it for basic functions.
