For sale is the original first generation Symposium Rollerblock isolation/coupler footer system in very good condition. Cosmetically there are some obvious signs of use like the edges being scratched, noticeable marks on the rollerblocks and metal plates, and some very light darkening on the yellow fabric. However, these still have a great overall appearance and have full functionality. The isolation blocks help keep the vibrations caused by components in a system from rattling against each other and effecting their performance, noise floor, or keeping any outside vibrations from reaching the piece you are isolating. This can be an extremely useful tool when youve finally found a system that works for you and want to improve the little things that can make a world of difference. Rollerblocks offer sonic improvements with all components, but the most dramatic usually occur with digital equipment, such as CD, SACD and Blu-Ray players, Music Servers (including computers), DACs and dedicated transports. Improvements in dynamics, transient response, and overall air and clarity suggest enhanced information retrieval from digital disks, probably due in part to Rollerblocks unsurpassed ability to dissipate and isolate the minute rotational mode vibrations caused by these devices spinning platter mechanisms. Beneath DVD and Blu-Ray video disc players, greater clarity and image sharpness with decreased background noise can be expected. Set of excellent decoupling devices suitable for most hi-fi. Theyre in excellent condition and come with upgraded ceramic bearings which are harder and smoother than the ones they were supplied with. Pretty sure still have the original steel bearings somewhere and if I turn them up, Ill include them. From memory the ceramic bearings cost me 9 each from Sonority Design, theyre made for jet engines and according to Stephen, theyre rounder than they need to be. In my experience, roller bearing isolation works well under almost all hi-fi, particularly phono stages, and pre amps but all electronics are adversely affected by vibration to some extent. Im only selling these because of a reduction in the box count here. All my other components have things like this underneath them.
