The mode it is in processes DVD signal perfectly with surround channels working, special effects working, subwoofer working. I tested it with the analog inputs from a DVD player, and then tested with Digital Optical Input, and both work and sound great. All channels work, all inputs work, the Tuner works great as well, tuning in a nice stereo sound.So just to reiterate: I cant select the surround modes because the remote is missing. Although when tested with a DTS DVD, the sound was correct for all five channels and subwoofer.The unit shows some small scuffs along the front face, and some other small marks here and there, some noticeable marks on the top......please see photos. This Sunfire TGP-5 Theater Grand Processor is in great physical condition, with a few minor scuffs and scratches on the chassis. I am the original owner, but the TGP-5 has sat in storage for many years. Although it does pass analog audio, I am selling this pre/pro as For parts or not working for the following reasons: 1) The volume control is somewhat finicky. It usually works consistently if you hold in on the volume knob while turning it. At other times, the volume will jump around--usually going down by multiple dB. 2) Other than the analog audio inputs, I have not verified the functionality of the rest of the inputs and outputs, including the HDMI, S-Video, composite, and component video sections, as well as the balanced audio outputs, RS232 connection, and 12-volt triggers. I also have not verified the various audio processing functions. They show up on the display when toggled through, but I do not know if the processing works or how it performs on all of the inputs. 3) The Zone Selector does not seem to work, although it might need the remote control to access it. NO REMOTE CONTROL IS INCLUDED! The FM tuner works. An AC power cord (not original) and the Original owners manual is included. Ships in the original box. NO remote control, cables, antenna, or other accessories are included.
