Product Description Technics SU-X990D amp has a built in D/A converter and an optical input terminal which receives digital signals directly from a CD Player. This guarantees that CD signals are virtually free of distortion, for playback that achieves fullest fidelity and brilliance. The amplifier also uses Class AA circuitry for optimum fidelity as used in Technics most advanced separates components and includes AV surround sound to create exciting ambient effects. Background Technics 360 series of separates were excellent home audio products. Six 360 systems were released by Technics in 1988. This amplifier was included in the top of the range X990D system and is therefore top specification.
