Selling out my fathers original Technics SE-A3 Power Amplifier + SU-A4 Pre Ampliifier. Both the units are great good working condition, they both have been serviced, all internal parts have been upgraded and replaced, all capacitors and used parts over the years have been replaced by Technics professional sound engineer, i have a lot of pictures with all the parts and process of replacement so if interested send me a message and i will send you additional photos, the units work amazing, sound on this unit is so warm and vintage very rare to find in this good working condition, also very good esthetic condition. Unit have also upgrades, both units have Original Furutech IEC Power Outlet ( Rhodium version ), the SE-A3 has new Original WBT terminals all 8 have been upgraded with furutech cable on the inside, power cable from IEC to Transformer also replaced with Furutech cable. I am also including thick good power cables gold plated not shown in pictures with Audioquest Sydney RCA cable (that connect both units). Units have been tested all working functions and very good sound and condition for vintage units. There is no units in this condition on the internet. Sound is close to my new Macintosh units if i listen to Vinyl i even like the Technics more, sound is much warm. They wore my fathers private items for his entire lifetime so very well cared for. The Incredible Technics SU-A4 DC Preamp (with MM and MC phono inputs!) fully recapped and restored. Launched in Japan in 1979, the Technics SU-A4 is an excellent control amplifier that uses the same technology as the SU-A2. It features a Class A design that eliminates switching and crossover distortion. The equalizer amplifier is a dual parallel low-noise FET design that can be connected directly to MC or MM and switch gain. The flat and buffer amplifiers are two-stage configurations, with the input stage being a well-characterized dual FET differential amplifier circuit, cascode, current mirror loaded, and SEPP output stage. The MC preamplifier has a super-low noise FET 4-para configuration, and the phono equalizer is an input stage of differential amplification cascode current mirror load with super-low noise dual FETs with well-matched characteristics to achieve ICL. The equalizer section is equipped with an equalizer subsonic filter that cuts ultra-low frequency noise caused by record warps and the like. In addition to the usual tone controls, Super-Bass and Super-Treble controls let you effectively deal with typical audio equalization problems Thanks to class A amplifier circuitry from input to output, the reproduced waveform is completely free from switching and crossover distortion. Open loop performance is so good that little NFB is required. All high-level inputs (tuner, tape, aux) encounter no capacitors in the signal path. FETs are employed to eliminate the need for input capacitors. When used with a DC power amp such as the SE-A3, this means that DC amplification extends all the way to the speaker terminals, the advantage of which can be seen in the excellent 3DA profile obtained for this control amplifier. NOTE: The front panel cover does not stay closed, a common issue with these units.
