Hello. Up for sale is one ODL Stratos stereo power amplifier. It is basically rebranded identical clone of Odyssey Stratos. As the story goes,years ago one of the co-creators left Odyssey Audio stealing the design along the way. It is basically the same as Odyssey Stratos down to chassis details and Blue anodized heavy aluminum face plate. Only difference is: that etched glass plate reads ODL instead of Odyssey. When I spoke with Mr. Klaus years ago he confirmed that this is an absolutely the same as original and told me that he doesnt mind servicing and upgrade it in the same way he offers upgrades to his own original amplifier. I am the second owner,but I bought it over 15 years ago, and it is in excellent working and cosmetic condition,with only a few tiny scuffles on the back plate mainly, really hard to notice.This a true Audiophile gem of an amplifier! It is built like a tank and is really HEAVY. It is housed in an original large Stratos chassis. Mr. Klaus offers them in various chassis variations depending on how much one would want to spend. It has been in my main and then secondary system for all these years and NEVER disappointed even once! I mainly used it in my tri-amp system driving lower end. It is a MONSTER with plenty of clean power to drive even very demanding speakers.If you wonder why am I selling- the answer is simple one: I just recently bought/upgraded to Stratos Extreme in a Karthago chassis which matches better with my Kismet and Stratos mono blocks. Yes, I do have FIVE other Odysseys in my system. As you can see it has two pairs of inputs- single ended RCA and XLR as well; however,XLRs are not true balanced input,and only there as an alternative connector but it is a single ended input.Mr. Claus does not incorporate balanced inputs in any of his amps.So, cosmetically and performance wise,it is in excellent condition. The only negative is- two light bulbs for glass plate illumination are both dead and will need to be replaced by a technician. That does not detract from performance.Also,it is strongly recommended to keep amp ON all the time, it does not run very hot, but it will improve performance. Proven over the years!That way all the internals will be stabilized for a better sound presentation.Yes, you can turn it off, but I do personally recommend to turn it on for at least 30min before any critical listening. If you just listening to the music as a background or hosting a party where no one have time for a critical listening as we audiophile do, then it WILL NOT matter.It will perform excellent just out of the box.Now, this item is HEAVY and I will ship but will prefer local pick up. ODYSSEY AUDIO STRATOS PLUS STEREO POWER AMPLIFIER This amplifier is in very good condition and works beautifully. It comes with user manual and original box. It has one small ding to the underside left-hand of the faceplate, which can be seen only on close examination and looking from underneath. This is not serious at all and, if you wish, I can take extra close-ups for your peace of mind. If youre reading this, youll know that this is a really fine amplifier which can easily drive almost any speakers and is load stable to 2 Ohms. The amp operates in class A/AB. Its150watts per channel rating does not say anything about their enormous, high current delivery. I used this amp to drive ATC SCM20 speakers (which are rated at 83dB) to impossibly high levels without any strain or change in tonal balance/soundstage. Also their use of massive and expensive capacitors, ie 120000uF, gives them the capacity to effect enormous dynamic swings and an ease of presentation irrespective of volume. The Absolute Sound magazine has praised the Stratos amps for years and its been their Editors Choice.UK shipping will be by Parcelforce Express AM at a cost of £40. No international shipping, sorry.

Also their use of massive and expensive capacitors, ie 120000uF, gives them the capacity to effect enormous dynamic swings and an ease of presentation irrespective of volume or music type.
