Der Kopfhörer ist, seinem Alter entsprechend, gut erhalten. Eines der Gitter an der Innenseite ist an einer Stelle verfärbt (siehe viertes Bild). Beide Treiber funktionieren einwandfrei. Das letzte Bild zeigt meine aktuellen Messungen am MiniDSP Ears, mit angedrückten Hörern (nur so ist der Bass zu messen). Der SR-202 bietet einen preiswerten Einstieg in die Welt der elektrostatischen Kopfhörer. Er klingt wärmer und kräftiger, dafür aber weniger raffiniert und luftig als etwa mein Lambda Signature. Technisch spielt er dennoch in einer ganz anderen, höheren Liga als die meisten dynamischen Kopfhörer. Sein Betrieb ist natürlich nur an einem Stax-kompatiblen Verstärker mit Pro-Anschluss möglich. Geliefert wird nur der Kopfhörer mit dem fest verbauten Kabel. Der Ständer ist nicht Teil des Angebots. Privatverkauf, keine Rücknahme.

Stax SR-202 ist das Basismodell der Lambda Serie aus der Jahrtausendwende, ist aber alles Andere als ein Einsteigerkopfhörer.Membranstärke 1,5µm Pro-Bias 580V, funktioniert natürlich auch mit Normal-Bias 230V. Weist alle typischen Klangmerkmale der Stax-Elektrostaten aus, wie zarter, luftiger Klang, Mitten- und Höhenauflösung, bloß etwas weniger ausgeprägt als die teureren Spitzenmodelle. Die Basswiedergabe ist für die meisten Musikrichtungen ausreichend und steht mMn dem Sennheiser HD600 in nichts nach.Der SR-202 hat bei mir den Aufstieg vom kleinen Verstärker SRM-212 zum Oberklasse-SRM-1 Mk2 deutlich hörbar gemacht. Jetzt ist aber Zeit nach einem höheren Hörer-Modell. Dieses Exemplar wurde vom Vorbesitzer mit einem kleinen Plastikröhrchen zwischen Gehäuse und Polster modifiziert, dies verbessert die Basswiedergabe und vermindert die Erwärmung der Ohren bei längerem Hören.Leider hat er oder sie beim Wiederzusammenbau rechts und links vertauscht. Biete hier wie abgebildet Kopfhrer an, diese wurden nicht auf Funktion getestet. Es handelt sich um einen Dachbodenfund. Augenscheinlich sind die Kopfhrer in einem altersentsprechenden guten Zustand wrde ich sagen. Auf den Bilder ist zu sehen, dass der Kleber des Polsters nicht mehr so ganz hlt, habe nicht versucht da etwas zu vertuschen, das sollte jemand machen der sich damit auskennt und das vernnftig machen mchte.
