Das Stanton 680 ist ein Moving Iron Design, das über Jahre als Basis auch für die Top-Systeme von Stanton diente. Das Kürzel TH steht für den Plattenspieler-Hersteller Thorens, den deutschen Vertrieb, für den Stanton ebenfalls Systeme lieferte. Betrieb an jedem üblichen Moving Magnet Phonoeingang. Das System ist mit einer neuwertigen Tonar Nachbaunadel mit sphärischem Schliff ausgestattet. Das System ist fertig montiert auf einem Koshin-Headshell in SME-Bauweise, das zum Lieferumfang des Koshin GST-801 Tonarms gehörte. Die Nadel stammt aus aktueller Fertigung ist praktisch neuwertig. Mit diesem Einschub wird aus dem 680EE ein 680A, das sich eher für mittelschwere und schwere Tonarme eignet. Die Vorlaufbürste ist härter als die originale Stanton-Bürste und sollte nach meiner Meinung besser nicht montiert werden. Technische Daten: gefasster konischer Diamant 17 µm, Kanaltrennung 35 dB, optimale Auflagekraft 20 mN, Auflagekraft von 10 bis 30 mN. Ausgangsspannung 6 mV bei 1kHz 5cm/s, Innenwiderstand 1300 Ohm, Induktivität 930 mH, ideale Abschlußkapazität 275 pF. Gewicht 5,5 Gramm. Das System ist auf einem Koshin Headshell montiert, das aus dem Lieferumfang des GST-801-Tonarms stammt. Magnesiumguß mit verstellbarem Azimut. Das Headshell ist leider beschädigt, daher rührt der niedrige Preis. Ein Vorbesitzer muss mit dem Headshell einmal grob umgegangen sein, die SME-Kupplung sitzt nicht 100%ig gerade in ihrer Klemmung und die Anschlußkabel sind nicht original. Measurements are very balanced: 1198 and 1199 ohm. With Pickering D150 stylus, and the handy Dustomatic brush, found on all needles for the 680EE. The stylus is in used condition, but youre obviously buying this mainly for the Stanton cartridge. Replacement needles of many types can be easily found; basically every stylus for the Stanton 680 and 681 cartridges, and for the Pickering XV15, should fit.
