Up for sale, a Kenwood KP-770D quartz lock direct drive straight arm turntable (100v version of KD-770D*) equipped with a Stanton 681 with almost new D6800 aftermarket stylus. This unit is working and sounds fantastic with this cartridge and stylus. Quartz lock engages within 2 seconds of turning on or switching between 33 & 45 rpm. Rock steady and solid at both 33 and 45. Cuing up and down works as it should. I am reducing price as autolift at end of record does not engage. Probably an easy fix, I’m not sure, honestly. Dust cover is in VG condition with only slight scuffs and minor scratches, is still very transparent. Also comes with the original owners manual in Japanese, but that can be translated using Google lens. If you have any other questions please ask before buying. * - The KP series turntables are Japanese Domestic Products therefore run at 100v rather than 110 or 120v like here in US. While turntable will work at 120v and work well a step down transformer is recommended for continued use. A 100w stepdown transformer is cheap, around $20-$30 on Amazon or eBay. 100w is plenty even at peak since a turntable usually runs well under 20w. This is a large and heavy turntable, to ship safe and secure will be expensive. Box is 28x24”x17 that and it weighing over 32 lbs packed up is the reason. You can do your own calculations if eBay prices seem high, shipping has gotten even more expensive and handling care levels have deteriorated significantly.
