Stereo Receiver  Please view many (25) images below the description  Up for bids is a vintage Standard SR-A1000S Solid State Stereo Receiver.  I understand that they are pretty hard to find and considered to be of very good quality.  Apparently, the name was changed to MARANTZ in the mid-1970s.CONDITION: Working, but it is fresh from the estate of a 97 year-old gentleman and has likely not been used in years, so it will probably need some attention.  There are no feet, as it had very little clearance in his rack.  The pots are very scratchy, so at a minimum it will need something like Deoxit to address this.  The controls seem to work fine, but please note that it was only tested on FM and not with a phono or other auxiliary device.  The BASS control is very tight, so I was reluctant to move it much when testing.  The light on the right side of the tuner display was not working, but came on when I tapped it.  I do not know if it is a loose wire, failing bulb, etc., but it is working as of now.  The stereo indicator lamp works but the receiver was not tuned to a station when photographed.  I assume that all caps, etc. are original.  Physically, the unit is among the best looking I have seen, so with a once-over, it will serve someone well for years to come!Please view all images, as interior shots are at the end.
