Preamp is class A but hybrid valve/solid-state. Can be very transparent but very tweakable as well - you can dive into subtleties by playing with gain and FLAIR button. To my ears, the sound has body, thats what Id say its the main characteristic, but thats subjective of course. Clear and a bit warm. Phantom power, pad, low cut filter, phase reverse and FLAIR are the functions. XLR in and XLR or jack out. 2U rack mountable. I dont have the original box, I only have the manual. It doesnt come with power cable. I can supply one though, if needed.
