Offered for your consideration is one (1) Klipsch part number K-1053-SV 6½ inch poly cone woofer removed from my Klipsch KSF-C5 center channel speaker, USA-manufactured in 1998. This capable mid/bass driver is likely suitable for other Klipsch speakers from the era, but the buyer is responsible for making that determination correctly.So, please have a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this capable Klipsch mid/bass woofer is correct for your needs. This Klipsch woofer is in clean, excellent condition. The sturdy poly cone is perfect and the voice coil dustcap is dimple-free flawless. Plus, the surround is permanent butyl rubber instead of the fragile foam many other makes were still using. Also, the steel basket is in great shape with no dings or scratches and the magnet shield bell, with secondary “bucking” magnet for video-shielding, is free of oxidation. There are a few small scuffs on the metal flange gasket, that’s about it. And, the +/- terminals are keyed for polarity (larger side = positive) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this Klipsch driver is very well preserved. Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds great with clear, strong output, detailed midrange and good bass for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 6.5? consistent with an 8 ohm nominal driver rating. Lastly, the basket—with flange gasket on—measures 6?” wide (7?” from the rounded corners), it stands about 4¼” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 4 11/16” adjacent / 6?” diagonal apart, c-t-c. So, as pictured and described, this Klipsch 6½” woofer is offered at a competitive price. This pair of KEF Calinda SP 1053 Speakers are in full working order, but the tops of both cabinets are stained, as shown in the picture.They have consecutive serial numbers and were bought new by my father, then passed to me twenty years ago.I am not aware of any repairs or maintenance, but wires connecting the tweeters are black on one unit and blue on the other, so perhaps this is the result of a replacement.
