This is a great sounding speaker set. Bass is adjustable on the subwoofer unit and a remote volume control can be installed in a convenient location. Just removed from service when computer was retired and the space has a new purpose. Everything works perfectly. This is a Cambridge Soundworks By Henry Kloss PC Stereo Speaker System SWK1-Subwoofer from 1996. It is a 2.1 channel speaker system that delivers high-quality audio output. The speakers are rectangular in shape and have a black color. They are wired and have an impedance of 8 Ohms. The system configuration is 2.1 channel and it has audio inputs for AUX. The model is named after Henry Kloss, a famous audio expert. This particular system has been boxed up for about 3 years. We plugged it into a TV for better sound. Also used it with iPhones and iPod touch with the 8mm jack. I recently played it and the system works as it should. Nice sound.

Cambridge Soundworks CSW3050 Desktop Theater Control Unit Only + Power Supply (from Playworks 2500 system) This is the main control unit / amplifier from the Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Playworks 2500 speaker set and the power supply. The unit powers on, however, with the speakers connected, adjustment of any of the knobs results in very scratchy sounds coming from the speakers, and if you attempt to increase the volume or subwoofer knobs above around 50% or so, the unit reboots itself indefinitely, until you lower the settings, and it works fine below that. Ive tried a different power supply and nothing changed, unit works fine at low settings but will go into a continuous reboot at higher volume / bass levels. When the system reboots, there is a short momentary drop of the DC voltage from the power supply down to about 10 volts, seems like something in the unit is pulling too much current or shorting out, causing the unit to reboot itself. Ive carefully opened up the unit but did not see anything out of the ordinary, no blown FETs or resistors or capacitors, no burns, no liquid damage. There are some youtube videos and other guides out there about troubleshooting and repairing this particular unit. Buyer receives both the exact power supply and control unit as shown in the photos.
