Manufacturer Description: The GEN II cables are better performing because they incorporate several upgrades to the original cables. They have 6 - 9s (99.9999%) pure bare oxygen free high conductivity electrolytic bare copper conductors that are supplied in much finer individual strands for each. The use of finer strands means that within each conductor gauge there are many more strands of copper resulting in a larger circular mil area for each conductor in each cable type. The larger circular mil area (distance around each conductor) allows for a greater surface area for signal and frequencies to travel over for signal carrying cables and for enhanced voltage flow through power supply cables and power cords. It also makes each cable type more flexible - a big plus in most installations. The GEN II cables also have thinner wall insulation that is 100% RoHS (lead free), meets all specifications for UL and CSA approvals for electrical conductivity, in-wall use, as well as being even more flexible and easy to work with.
