Very clean SOTA Comet Model 1 turntable with Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. Tonearm has been rewired with Litz silver cable, and DIN connection added. Also has Q-Up tonearm lifter (gently lifts the tonearm at the end of the record). Low hours on the cartridge. Will ship double-boxed with original carton.

This Sota Comet turntable is a lovely example of the 1980s product, with its timeless design and high-quality materials. Sota, is known for superior craftsmanship and attention to detail, and this turntable is no exception. It has been tested and is fully operational, but the anti-skate on the Sumiko (Jelco) tonearm seems a bit fiddly. Platter, sub-platter, bearing, belt, motor and all wiring have been verified working. Included dustcover has a few cracks and hinges are missing. Overall, this unit is remarkable in appearance for its age. Genuine SOTA belt, less than a month old. Less than an hour of use. I purchased this belt to try and fix a speed issue with my Sonographe, but it turns out it needs much more than a belt. International shipping is available to many countries, just check out as normal.
