Plays Tapes and Radio Works, but for some reason the Tape Playback Volume is Low. Please read condition report for more details. CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Excellent Cosmetic Condition, but please see pictures for exact cosmetic condition. Tape Playback functions work including Play, REW, FFD, Stop, Direction Change, but the Volume is LOW when playing tape and static hum can be heard during playback. Radio works in both AM and FM modes and the Volume is played at Normal Working Volume. Cleaned the Tape Reading Head with 99% Alcohol, but did not clear up volume issue, so not sure why its low. This is actually a very clean unit but I couldn’t get it to make music. I put new batteries in it and used a pair of modern headphones and a good cassette but all I could get was a high pitched squealing sound. Not sure if it’s the unit itself or maybe my headphones aren’t compatible? It does seem like the red button near the plat/stop/Ff/Rev buttons is stuck in. Hoping this will be an easy fix for someone with the time and know-how but I cannot guarantee anything. The cassette does play and spins fast in FF and Rewind like it should. Please bid accordingly knowing this could just end up being a parts unit. Thank you.
