The battery compartment is clean free of corrosion Fresh battery installed and the motor operates Cosmetic condition very good see images The mechanism that controls the cover is not working properly - it is unlatched at the end attached to cover. Appears to need fine screw to attach. The arm and spring are intact see image.

FM Radio is also tuning fine with lovely stereo sound. Battery cover is also present and in good shape. Some light scratches on its back but other than that its in very good condition as compare to its age. See all photos for detail. With super rare Sony SRS-20 speakers. Fully working very good condition. Lovely powerful sound quality. It takes 2x AA batteries. Walkman comes with its belt clip holder , sony earphones only a plain packing. You need to insert headphones in to power it on as this is how it was designed. Its almost the size of the cassette case.

I placed a battery in along with a cassette and nothing happened. The case itself is very clean but aside from it not working, the only visible damage is the glue on the battery cover has dried up and it does not firmly stay in the case when the cassette cover is lifted up.
