Recording works well and I have recorded 3 tapes using this machine. I replaced 2 belts and everything else is original. The machine includes the original leather case, Battery case. The Walkman plays brilliantly - please see the video which demonstrates the peaking lights working as well as the counter turning. Buttons look minty fresh. Includes battery compartment, wonderful condition carry case and folded up strap, original Sony microphone with jack adapter as well as the cool Sony branded mic bag. Box is not in the same shape with a tear but still holds up really well and includes the polystyrene inner and branded Sony cardboard divider. Also includes another jack cable. It only records through one Channel There may be other faults Im not sure, but its sold as seen. I only have earplugs from my old phone so I tried it with that and no sound ,when I plug ear plugs come a little static noises but I can play it does not eat a cassette up when you play it while in play it will rewind when it’s not and playing mode it can fast forward it, other than that the battery cradle is there …..no headphone no strap, nor any other accessories I did not test the recording, plays with no sound
