SONY Projector VPL-VW885ES. The previous owner claimed that it only has approx. 1300 hours on it. We plugged it in and it goes from red leds to no power at all. So, we are listing it as NO POWER. BUYER SHOULD ASSUME IT HAS NO POWER, but it could have leds lit, but no guarantee of its status, other than no power. Appears to be low hours just from visual inspection, but no guarantee. No idea whats wrong. Could be the mainboard is bad, or a power supply, or something else altogether. NO GUARANTEE ON THE OPTICS, but, we do know that the optics alone in one of these models can be worth up to $2500, or more,. This model uses the same LCD prism as the VPL-VW995ES, and the VPL-VW1025ES, as well as the VPL-VW915ES. In addition, the VPL-VW5000ES uses the SAME LCD panels. All four of those projectors are TOP OF THE LINE, and Sony only sells a couple models that are better, but Youll spend $75,000. Those are all coming off warranty, and if i invested $40,000 in a projector, I will gladly spend $2500 if the LCD prism goes bad, or if one of the three panels dies. Its usually the Blue that dies first. If the Laser has low hours, that is worth some money too. Then there is the lens, the power supplies, and on and on. The other option is, you could hold onto this and wait for another parts unit that is listed, that has the parts you need to make one Great Projector!! I see no marks or scratches on the chassis - it was ceiling mounted and not touched for the time I have used it. Projector will ship in the original Factory box, with the remote, owners manual, and power cable. Lamp has 417 hours on it. Sony rates the lamp for as long as 6,000hrs, but gives no guarantee on this. Projector has a light output of 1500 ANSI lumens. I used it in a darkened room on a 120 16:9 1.3 gain screen and was very happy, but 1500 lumens is not enough to compete with ambient light, so make sure you use it in a darkened room as well. This is a great true 4K projector. It’s provided me many hours of trouble free use. I’m only selling it now because I recently purchased an upgrade for my theatre room. Listing includes projector, plug, and remote. The bulb is included too (will leave it installed in the projector). I do not remember how many hours are on the bulb, but I’ve replaced it at least once since owning the projector. I’m shipping everything in its original packaging.

Sony VPL-VW85 HD 1080p projector for parts or repair, no remote. Powers on but no picture and LED blinks red twelve times indicating a problem with the main PC board which is no longer available new according to Sony authorized repair shop. They actually said it did project an image but the auto focus was not working. We opted to buy another projector. This Sony was nearly $8000 new and still produced a fantastic image up until a month or so ago. Worth repairing if you have the means. Pick up in Woodbury MN or ship at buyers expense.
