A Working SONY 6 band Super Sensitive Radio Model TFM-8000WIn good vintage condition, ON/OFF switch is broken off & has a screw in it (as a temporary fix).Seems to work on all bands. Tested with included AC cord(110V) and 4 D batteries (not included). Sound is clear. Buttons/ switches work as intended without any static or scratchiness. Dial light and tuning meter work. Antenna is intact, with the tip segment tweaked a bit, extends & retracts. Battery compartment in good shape. No major chips or cracks on the case, just used marks here and there and the small chip in the bottom corner (see pictures). THANKS FOR LOOKING

This is a used Sony TFM-8000W, multi band radio. It is being sold for parts, but much of it works. I was listening to the marine weather, and the FM stations. I can only hear static on the SW and PSB bands, but the antenna is broken off. The volume, tone, and other knobs work, and the light comes on when you hit the button. This radio is used, so dirty somewhat, and the chrome has gotten pitted. Battery chamber is clean. I think by the right person, it can be brought completely back to life.
