Two speeds were provided (7½ & 3¾ ips) and reels of up to 7? could be accommodated. As with the TC’s 250 and 350, Sony continued its practice of hiding the recording controls beneath a sliding panel below the twin VU meters. Separate record and playback controls were provided as were individual controls for adjusting bass & treble and the recorder could be used in either vertical or horizontal positions.
