Selling my Sony TC-K707ES cassette tape deck. This deck is in mint cosmetic condition. All functions except two work as they should. All feather touch controls work as designed. The deck will Fast Forward and Rewind. IT WILL NOT, HOWEVER, PLAY OR RECORD! When you press PLAY, the green PLAY light illuminates and stays lit for about 2 seconds. Then it stops. The tape does not transport during this time. It performs exactly the same way in RECORD mode. The automatic cassette door works perfectly. FF and REW work as they should. Those functions seem strong. This deck was working as designed for me up until about two weeks ago. It played and recorded just fine. I went to play a tape about two weeks ago and it would not play. When you press play, you can hear it trying to play, but then it stops. I dont dont know what might be the problem. It could be a belt. It could be something else. I dont know. I am selling this deck as-is because it will not play or record. It does come with the original box and styrofoam corners. Deck will be double boxed and well packed for shipping. Nice sounding deck I bought recently from my technician guy, he said that serviced this deck had belts replacement and new left pinch roller, I’m throwing in a after market remote control that it works perfectly fine on this deck.

Powers on . Cassette door motor runs when open/ close button is pushed. You can hear it , but door does not open . Buttons to switch source etc work , or at least the panel indicates that they do. None of the tape function buttons operate. Play, ff etc. Body is in excellent condition . Not notably scratched scuffed etc . Display panel face is in excellent shape. Cosmetically it is a very good unit . Priority mail is recommended . Ups is listed as an option but we advise against it. We have found priority to be generally safer. We will , of course ship with whichever you prefer .
