I purchased this new from a local/small electronics shop back in December 1991 for $600. It served me well for many years. I no longer use it, and I would like to pass it on to somebody who might like to have it. The unit powers up, but there is a problem with the tape loading mechanism. I tried to trouble-shoot it back when it first occurred, but I don’t remember the specifics. Either I couldn’t figure it out or I couldn’t get the part(s) I needed to fix it. Hopefully, you will have better luck. I included a video of the door opening/closing, but that is not the problem. There is something wrong with mechanism that pulls the tape out of the cassette. I wish I had a tape to demonstrate it. I will see if I can find one. The sale includes the tape deck, the remote, the original operating instructions manual, original packaging/cardboard box and a bunch of pamphlets/flyers that came with it. The remote is in great shape. The buttons look/function as good as new and there is no battery leakage. There is some water damage to the original cardboard box. The unit is in excellent condition. I don’t have a tape to test the DAT. However, the player in in great condition. The eject springs open like new and it’s very clean. I bought this from a songwriter with a bunch of audio equipment. I picked up this unit and others at an estate sale. Everything was well taken care of.
