Greetings, As I need to narrow down my stock of components that I do not need and might help others, the fully restored audio board from one deck that I am disassembling for the mechanism and other parts, audio board of an KA7ES is available for those who are keen to have a replacement available. It is a perfectly functioning order. Tested, it works without issues. It is the later variant of the board, light green coloring (versus older ones, dark green ink, 1-655-253-11). The Q101/102 and Q201/202 double transistors sets are properly installed versus the previous version where were mounted on the back of the board, meaning the layout and production of the board matured in this later version. It was fully recapped for my personal use, using a fine selection of caps (proven origin) according to the functions in the circuit layout. So, Nichicon UFG or MUSE were used in the audio power supply (which is for the whole audio part of the deck), Wurth Electronik / KEMET POLYMER caps were used for audio coupling. Are the most modern in the industry, lowest ESR ever, no leaking/drying and we can assume lifetime operation. The sound is very clear, natural and neutral, typical for ES Sony decks, with detail and flat freq response. Also the audio switching relay was replaced with a NOS 2020 one (went out of production in 2021 or close). Giving the fact that the board is double layered and the pads are sensitive, reinforced soldering using the new caps THT terminals was used in several places for mechanical stability and improved contact. Upon replacing, calibration of the receiving deck is mandatory. Also beware to discharge the main rectifier board electrolytic caps before connecting the power connector as the fuses there will burn if the deck was powered without the audio board installed. It has been cleaned well with special mild solvents, will be packed well in cardboard box and plenty of bubble wrapping and airbags. Shipping to EU countries.
