Phono, tape , am FM have all been tested and they work Meters work. Face has some minor scuffs and scratches and will need cleaned. Knobs will need a bit of cleaning as well. A bit of a crackle when first powering on but goes away within seconds of powering on Sounds very good Has some wear throughout please examine photos closely

Pictures are part of the description. I picked this up at a sale and there was a tag on it that was marked works and FM ind light non opp. I can not confirm that. Up for auction is this vintage Sony FM stereo FM-AM receiver STR-1800. Japan. Wood cabinet has some damage as shown and some white stuff on the left side. Untested and listed it as not working and for parts or restoration. It may or may not work. I only have whats pictured. Please see the photos for any important info like measurements and condition. This unit is in nice pre owned condition- it looks to have lived much of its life in its factory box. There are only light signs of wear. I have tested this unit with some bookshelf speakers, and it sounds nice- I did not detect any issues. The volume and tone knobs don’t have any scratchy spots. The tuner is adjusts smoothly and is sensitive. The tape and phono inputs both work well. I did not test the “tape out”. The display lights are working. This will ship in its factory box, with the shipping label applied directly to the box. It will be well protected inside. Please see pictures for details. Thanks!
