Er weist eine ausgezeichnete Empfindlichkeit auf und liefert einen vollen, klangvollen Sound mit besonders naturgetreuem Bass. Der ST-5150 verfügt über Multipath-Ausgänge zum Anschluss eines Oszilloskops, separate Lautstärkeregler für die variablen Ausgänge für rechts und links sowie einen 75-Ohm-Antenneneingang - ungewöhnlich für einen Tuner aus den frühen 70er Jahren.
