I have tested the Receiver to the best of my abilities. I am not however an audio tech, so it is possible I missed something. The unit It powers on and the functionality seems to work as intended. The only hiccup I found, is the FM setting was not playing loudly. I was using only a short antennae, so it may simply be that the issue, but I couldnt say for sure. I did not open the unit. And it most certainly will need regular maintenance and cleaning.

I have for sale a Vintage Sony STR-7045 AM/FM, FM Stereo Receiver. Shows some wear and some of the lettering on the faceplate had rubbed off but overall it’s in good condition. There are some indentation damage on a couple of the wooden slats on the cabinet, probably the result of stacked component. Please inspect photos carefully as they form part of the description. Sound was very scratchy and there were pops after being in storage for several years. I used some contact cleaner on all the knobs and switches and now it sounds clean for the most part. It could probably use a more thorough cleaning to really clear up the sound. All the inputs work. The inside is quite dusty. The tuning meter light sometimes come on and sometimes it doesn’t. The AM antenna has a loose hinge and doesn’t stay up. Given the age and that it’ll need some servicing to make 100%, I’m selling this unit strictly AS-IS for restoration. **USA buyers, please read:  Please note that I cannot generate a USA return label from Canada Post.
