(this has happened too many times in the past) VCRs/VHS/CD disc and cassettes are older technology and just because your tape/CD does not play in our unit does not necessarily mean it was a faulty unit. The tapes/CDS have many of their own faults as well. We do understand that things happen and we want you to be confident in your purchase. But player fails to read any retail DVD and DVD-R discs, so not able to play DVDs or record any DVD-Rs. No error code displays, only the message mentioning disc read error.
