VCR side accepts VHS tapes however after attempting to read them it ejects the tape in about 10 seconds so I’m unable to know the status of the VCR side so selling as is due to this. 1 Door clip on the VCR side broke off so it is currently not attached. This item shows wear including scratches, discoloration, staining, and signs of use; the DVD eject button on the unit is not in working condition, however, the remote control will open and close the DVD tray. The player and remote come in working condition, other than the DVD eject button. The remote is stained and has residue on it. This item measures 17” x 12.5” x 3.25”. Sony model RDR-VX521 dual VHS player/recorder and DVD player/recorder with original remote control (batteries not included). Cosmetically in very good condition. I only tested it for basic play functions for DVD and VHS tape and those functions worked well, but I did not test it for record functions for tape or DVD. The fault I did find is that the DVD tray does not like to open. If you push in the button to open the tray, it only opens if you bang the unit with the palm of your hand on the top panel, above the tray after pushing the button. It does then recede back in after placing a DVD in the tray and pushing the button. The remote control is in good condition and the battery compartment is clean with no signs of previous battery corrosion. Main unit and remote ONLY. No connection cables or manual.
