Description
Product descriptionThis is Sonys first metal cassette tape.In May 1979, about six months after the release of the worlds first metal tape, METAFINE, it was released at the same time as a metal-compatible cassette deck, as expected from Sony, a deck manufacturer.Initially, only the C-46 was available, but the C-60 and C-90 were released at the end of the same year. The basic design of the package is the same as the HF series and Duad at the time, but it uses a white base with many gold letters, creating a metallic image and a sense of luxury. Also, like other products, the design and product description are printed on the shrink wrapper instead of an index card. The cassette body uses the same DP mechanism and high-precision half mechanism as DUAD, which suppresses modulation noise caused by poor running caused by the cassette body.Although the label on the main unit cannot be replaced, it has a simple and luxurious design with gold letters on a black background. While other companies products were being renewed every year, this product underwent a few minor changes to improve quality, but its successor Metal-S was released in 1984, with the exterior design remaining largely unchanged. It continued to be sold untilAs it continued to be a long-seller, the price was revised twice in response to the price reductions of other companies metal tapes, and the specifications also changed slightly.?Main specificationsTape type Type?Magnetic material metal powderMaximum residual magnetic flux density 3,500 Gauss {3,200 Gauss}Coercive force 1,050 oerstedsSquareness ratio 0.85Bias 168% (deviation from CR standard tape)Sensitivity +2.0dB (???){ 0dB (315Hz, comparison value with standard tape)+0.5dB (10kHz, )+0.5dB (12.5kHz, )+0.5dB (16kHz, )}Frequency characteristics 0dB (8kHz, deviation from CR standard tape)+1.5dB (12.5kHz, )Maximum output +6.0dB (333Hz, )+9.5dB (10kHz, ){M.O.L. +5.0dB (315Hz)-0.5dB (10kHz)}Sensitivity unevenness: 0.5dB{0.3dB} or lessOutput fluctuation: 0.5VU{0.4VU} or lessBias noise -61.0dB{-55.0dB}Transcription 60dBErasure 65dB{70dB}(The above are the catalog values ??at the time of release; the values ??in {} are the catalog values ??from 1983, and there is no description of frequency characteristics.)?The product is in unused condition. There are tears in the package. It is possible to ship multiple pieces depending on stock status.
