While lightly used, these look barely played and are being sold as blanks. This particular lot has classical recordings dubbed onto them, and looks like they were recorded and then stored away for a significant period of time, based on the clean, smoke-free estate they came from. I have not tested every single cassette, so technically being sold as-is.

These Sony audio cassette tapes are used, in Sony tape cases. > Sony Metal-SR is 90 minutes Type IV cassette tape from 1989. The cassette is clean and in a fair shape with scratches/scuffs on the cassette shell. J-card has writings on the outside. Tape case has some scuffs (no cracks). > Sony UX is 90 minutes High Bias (Type II) cassette tape from 1992. The cassette is clean, in good condition with some scuffs on the cassette shell. J-card has no writings. Tape case has some scuffs (no cracks). You will receive two cassette tapes as seen in the photos. This tape is one of a larger volume of high-quality cassette formats, they came from a radio show archivist and audiophile. These were used to catalog radio shows on high-quality decks (Nakamachi, Tascams) that were diligently and passionately maintained. I’ve learned that they were barely ever replayed (if at all) and only recorded on once. The appearance of this tape and all the others definitely reflects that kind of meticulous and careful handling. Please do have a look at my eBay store where you’ll find more from this collection and other Analog tape related media. I am pleased to have had nothing but positive and gratuitous reviews from the people who have purchased these tapes. As a tape tech myself, upon individual inspection. I can assure you that these are as good as sealed. The only drawback being that you will need to record over whatever is on the tape. The tape will ship in a quality jewel case. In some instances, it will include a J card, and some blank stickers. All will be carefully packaged in a Uline cassette mailer, the virtually indestructible package solution for these one off tape sales! Not sending these in bubble or poly mailers like others might. This is a great way to save money on quality tape, an excellent alternative to paying double for a sealed cassette of the same quality. Mail.
