For Sale: My Sony Minidisc Deck MDS JB980 player/recorder with NetMD / MP3 support. The laptop is NOT included and only shown for reference purposes. This is the ultimate Minidisc player for collectors. It supports every format (except HighMD). You can connect this to your laptop to read and write SP, LP2, LP4 or MP3 discs. I dont know the history of this machine but have had it since 2021 and its been excellent. No issues at all. The remote control works well but is missing the battery cover. Supplied with USB A cable, UK power lead (attached) and remote control. Ill also chuck in a random minidisc with some music on so you can test it out. Sony MDS-JB980 Minidisc Recorder Spares Or Repair. This is one of the best Sony Minidisc players ever made. It was the top end semi pro version, in a beautiful metal finish. This worked flawlessly for many years (albeit only used now and again) but recently, it stopped working. It powers up. You can hear clicking and whirring, but nothing else happens. The display screen remains blank, so it doesnt get as far as booting up. The toslink output has the red laser light, so that element is still working. Its being sold as spares and repairs. If youre familiar with these machines youll know how good they can be. It might be simple to fix, I have no idea, sadly. It does have the remote controller for it too. It will be sent, well packaged.
